G Shock Watches

This shouldn’t be an issue if you keep the watch fully charged. How often you use the sensors and certain features will also affect the battery life. Features that move the hands such as the compass and hand shift feature may also use up more battery than the GW-9400 would. Yes GA1100-9G has the Twin Sensor with compass and thermometer. Personally I would prefer a G-STEEL model as I would want Tough Solar power on an analog G-Shock. I think the GSTS100G-1A and GSTS300G-1A9 might be the same shade of gold.

All these useful features add up to make this our top pick for a military G-Shock. The G9000-1V Mudman is the previous generation Mudman and is known for its extra-protective case featuring mud and dust resistance. It’s a good choice if your military deployment takes you to an extreme environment like the desert or jungle. While there are other G9000 Mudman watches with military-themed colors, those models have a reverse LCD display and we recommend this model for its easier-to-read standard standard LCD display. G-Shock, from this point forward, forged its position as the ultimate tough watch.

Guided by a “Triple-10” development concept, the original design teams sought a watch with 10-meter free-fall endurance, 10-bar water resistance and a 10-year battery life. Dual lighting gives an afterglow to the and analog face and digital display. Functions include world time for 31 zones, a chronograph with a 1/100-second stopwatch, 5 daily alarms, hourly time signal, and calendar to 2099.

Materials have similarly been updated in the 21st century with the Carbon Core Guard, G-Steel line and even 18-karat gold. Announced in 2019, the G-D5000-9JR was limited to 35 units and retailed for ¥7,000,000, or about ,000, making it the most expensive G Shock ever. Since 1983, G-SHOCK has been setting the standard in toughness. Shock-resistant construction that stands up to dropping and other rough treatment plus 200-meter plus water resistance. I have bought and sold G shock over the years and I currently own 5 models, four are analogue/digital and one is digital GW 9400). My common disappointment with all of them is the poor digital displays in both bright and dark lighting conditions.

The improved shock-resistant structure provides a sleeker and slimmer look than the usual chunky G-Shock shapes. (The GA-2000 is slightly smaller and lighter than the best-selling GA-100.) The GA-2000 also has quick-release levers built into the bands for easy removal. Casio plans to sell a variety of different bands separately including cloth and Velcro bands, and 24-mm quick release bands from other manufacturers will also fit. Other unique features include lay-flat bands, guardless buttons, a dual-layer stainless steel and resin case back, and a convenient front LED light button.

The unique tough structure was born from an unprecedented idea. This technology has been passed down to every G-SHOCK model for over a quarter-century. The sand invades every crevice and fold in your skin and clothing like a kind of unfinished cement mixture hellbent on rubbing your exposed patches of water-softened skin until they chafe and bleed.

Hmm, well my wrist is 6.5″ and the original G-STEEL fits okay (I don’t have one but tried it on at the store). I think it will probably fit but what’s most important is if you are comfortable wearing a big watch. I like G-STEEL GSTB100-1A because it has automatic dual time zone functionality and I need to use it in my daily basis, between two countries time zone, my home country and my residence country.
