Intex Air Mattresses, Inflatable Pools & Floats

Many consumers actually choose to winterize the Metal Frame pools in between seasons rather than take them down, although taking the Metal Frame pools down is still a really easy process at the end of the season. By far the most popular line of pools are its Easy Set Pools. True to their name, the Easy Set Pool line is incredibly easy to set up; just pull it out of the box, spread it out on the ground, fill the top inner tube with air, and then fill up the pool with water. Made of super tough high-molecular PVC that is resistant to puncture, impact, and sunlight, many consumers claim they last for multiple years with the right care. The Dura-Beam is a large air mattress that is meant for in-home use, not for camping – even if one wanted to use the air mattress in a tent, it would be difficult to fit it through the tent flap! Intex offers many other air mattresses that are meant specifically for camping and outdoor use.

Unlike most pools that fail in a single season, we expect to get several seasons out of the 24-foot x 12-foot x 52-inch set. Filling the pool takes some time and varies depending on your source of water. We have a well so we could not fill the pool using a garden hose.

For that reason, we have named it a great option if you have a lean budget. An automatic timer allowed us to turn on and off the pump each day. It also has a pressure gauge that we checked during filtration. If the pressure got too high, then we knew it is time to backwash the filter and clean out the sand.

In order to distribute the weight of the pool and prevent the side supports from sinking into the ground, a piece of pressure-treated wood should be installed underneath each U-shaped side support, and they must sit flush with the ground. We also used a ground cloth underneath the pool and were careful to remove stones, sticks, and other pointy objects before installation. At 103 inches x 69 inches x 22 inches, this inflatable rectangular pool is the perfect size for splashing the day away and then emptying to store away at night. It’s important to also know that the price tag on these pools comes at a steep increase from both the Easy Set and the Metal Frames, but remember that this is a full sized swimming pool at the fraction of what most above-ground pools cost. If you’re looking for a “go big, or go home” option, then the intex baby float Ultra XTR is the pool you need. The smallest model is a circular 16 feet x 48 inches deep, and the largest is a rectangular 32 feet x 16 feet x 52 inches—with seven sizes in between.

Made by combining high strength polyester mesh and extra thick PVC layers, the pool liner itself is 50 percent stronger than both the Easy Set and Metal Frame pools, and the frame is made of rust-resistant galvanized steel. However, if you don’t plan to keep the pool up all summer long or prefer to change the water, the entire Easy Set Line comes standard with removable filtration tubing should you change your mind later. This air mattress is made of standard PVC material with a proprietary Fiber-Tech construction; basically, thousands of strands of polyester run throughout the PVC and are meant to make the more durable and supportive.
